New to chickens in GA :)

Excited new chicken owner in middle Georgia. Started with red sexlinks, australorps, and barred rocks. Hopefully my crew will be laying by the end of the summer.

How old is your barred rock? With a deep red comb and wattles like that she should be laying eggs now unless she is a cockerel instead.

White bird is a red sex link make he will be my one Roo.
Barred rock is a male sold to me as a pullet so he will be rehomed. He is super sweet right now loves to snuggle.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a nice mix of breeds. Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Other than the male Red Sex Link, do you have any female Red Sex Links in your flock? Red Sex Link hens are laying machine which will give you loads of large, brown eggs. We did build the coop ourselves... My husband luckily has some construction experience and he went over the top. But I love it.
We currently have 3 red sex link hens, 1 australorp hen, and 1 barred rock hen, 1 red sex link rooster.

2 australorp roosters that will be rehomed and 1 barred rock rooster to be rehomed.
