Built the tiny home; now I'm building the tiny homestead on a leased acre near Picture Rock. I just converted a derelict structure that might have been a bunny hutch that I plan to sleep 6 hens, with a 10' x 15' covered run built (in progress) from 5'x5' stainless steel grate panels I pulled out of a construction site in 2014. I'm a holistic nutrition therapist and very interested in cultivating the healthiest chickens for the awesome'est eggs. I planned for lots of ventilation due to the heat here in SoAZ, but am slightly concerned about the length of the ramp up into the coop that sits about 32" off the ground. This bugger was actually cemented in place.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens might want to look for a tighter weave on your wire
to stop snakes and such
Thanks. The clean-out door has the widest wire spacing, but it's almost 3' off the ground. The biggest snake I've had on the property was a 2' rattler. And any such ambitious snake would have to get through the stainless grate which is 5/8". Nonetheless, I have thought about layering a panel of aviary wire over the welded wire on the clean-out door. I appreciate y'all watching out for me :)
