New to chickens, is my rooster acting normally?

Patti, do you have a friend with a Roo? Maybe you could put your Roo in with hers for a bit until he learns what it's all about. That would give you a chance to observe your hens with him gone. Another thought would be to trade him with someone else's Roo and see how your hens get along. If it really is the Roos fault, then you may have to find him a new home. Always easy to get another!!!!! I know it's hard to part with one you've raised, but as we say in the horse world ( and dog world, for that matter). there are too many nice animals out there to put up with a bad one! Good luck!
 
Well, to much avail, we ended up with a nice dinner coming Friday. My boyfriend processed poor Popcorn (the only chicken out of 10 that I named after ignoring my boyfriends advice to not name any

) But he was a good rooster nonetheless, and he provided a healthy snack for our lab (heart, liver, feet and neck). Can't wait to try my first hand raised chicken. Thank you for all of the advice everyone.
