Ha ha I wondered! This is so cool someone else just joined that has bees too. Yes Linda we SHOULD be able to catch them but to not likely, they are fast little buggars with only 2 legs. ( I think their wings act like a turbo?! lol) Enjoy you flock sounds like nice mix of breeds. There are lots of wise ones here in Chicken land.I'm thrilled to find this forum. My name is Linda and I live in Decatur, Georgia where I just started keeping chickens. I have six almost four week old babies. They came from My Pet Chicken and are supposedly four Easter Eggers, one blue-lace red Wyandotte and one Super Blue. I can't tell who is who. They are big enough and active enough right now to occasionally get away from me as I move them from their indoor accommodations to play in my outdoor coop during the day - it's 80 here today so plenty warm for them to be outside. I had a funny race around the coop yesterday with a small chick - I laughed at her as I ran and kept thinking: I am so much older and bigger than you, why can't I catch you???
I am also a beekeeper. I've had bees since 2006. My great aunt had a farm and chickens in middle Tennessee and I loved visiting her so I think I am reconnecting with Aunt Sarah in this new endeavor. I'm a grandmother, a retired clinical psychologist, a bread baker, a quilter, and love to garden.
I know I will learn a lot from all of you on this forum. Thank you for being here!
