Hello everyone! I am so happy to have found this site.
I am working currently on my chicken coop and run.(With my hubby's help of course)
I've been doing some research and I think I am going to go with 6 girls. I'm thinking Easter Eggers,Buff Orpingtons, and Speckled Sussex. 2 of each. I found a breeder and they have the breeds I want. They don't sell them till they are 6 weeks old. I was wondering if that is a good age? Can I get them to bond at that age, or will I need younger pullets??( I really didn't want to invest in a brooder. We are just wanting eggs, not to breed)
If the coop gets completed this weekend I will be able to get the babies in 2 weeks. I'm very excited.
And I will probably be on here often to get help and info on my soon to be flock.

yes, they will be bbf's in no time 
from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. Nice selections. If you spend time with them, they will be friendly. A few treats when they are older will help with that as well.
