(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I’m still waiting for my babies to come the week of April 13. Unless my local TSC ever gets some and I can pick up a couple EE since I didn’t order those.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

7 babies ordered

(3) What breeds do you have?

I ordered several different ones.
1 - RIR
1 - Barred Plymouth Rock
1 - Buckeye
1 - Golden Laced Wyandotte
1 - Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock
1 - White Plymouth Rock
1 - New Hampshire Red
Hopefully 3 Easter Eggers if I can find them

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Eggs of course!! FRESH

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, crochet, creative planning, and cooking.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I’m married with 2 boys, 17 & 15. We have 2 dogs, a shih tzu & half a shih tzu, one cat, & a pleco fish. I’m a geologist currently working on my Masters degree.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I’ve known about BYC for a long time but am just now finally getting into chickens! We lived in a place for the last 5 years where there was absolutely no way we could have any and are now finally in a place to have some! So Excited!!
