Hello, I am building my first coop and will be ready to buy some chicks soon. Can't wait to get started. I live in central Florida and there are a lot of places to buy chicks. But I'm not sure where the best place is. A local organic farm sells chicks i believe I'll start there. They also sell eggs at 11.99 for 20, I think kinda high so I'll be getting my own real soon.

Joining your state thread will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area, which can be helpful - they may be able to advice on the best sources for chicks.
