hello I’m Jessica, I live in Michigan. I have 2 chickens that I live very much! Thelma is a Orpington and Louise is a isa brown. I got them October 10th, they were already grown and laying when I got them. Took them a few weeks to start laying for me but when they did oh man was I excited!! They are definitely spoiled chickens and now come running to me when I call them, they eat out of my hand and even fallow me in the house every now and then haha. Thelma recently went broody (I know what that is thanks to this site) I was so worried she was sick! She is on day 4 of sitting I am getting some fertilized eggs for her tomorrow to see how it goes!! And advise is definitely appreciated!! Thank you for reading and I am looking forward to being a member!

Thelma M.D. Louise - LOVE their names and the film! I won’t be able to help you with chickens as I have ducks but there’s tonnes of members on here who are knowledgable and will help you. you’ll find lots of information on here about chicken/duck/poultry keeping. The community is fab and everyone is helpful and kind. Can’t wait to hear about your experiences! Feel free to share pics and stories and browse the other forums for more info. :D

G'Day from down under Jessica :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of Thelma and Louise, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
