I am medically retired from Nursing so I need to take care of things. I bought 15 baby chicks and had one die the day after shipping. After 4 weeks we did lose two chickens to coccidia even after changing water twice day.So far everyone is on the mend including one chicken who was in the process of leaving us due to coccidia. I am thankful for the poo chart and was able to catch the process early. My husband and I also raise labradors and keeping areas clean to prevent contamination of bird vs dogs keeps me running. My chicks are now 4 weeks old working on 5 weeks and are beginning to give us a look at what they will look like. We have Americaunas and coop prep is almost complete. Be kind everyone. I feel horrible about the loss of three chicks.

I say I am a love in denial because I swore I would never keep chickens. Yes, I now like my chickens.
