New to Chickens

just bought 5 Chickens yesterday . They spent there first nite under the new coop.
This morning still not coming out. Are chickens like other livestock just take time to adjust
to new surroundings.

Yes it might take them a while to adjust. I personally would try to lure them out with some food/treats though. It might work, but maybe not. We have only gotten grown adults, to go with the others, once before. So I'm not an expert on like grown adults adjusting. But yea it will probably just take them some time to adjust.

Chickens are fearful of change, so going to a new home is upsetting to them.

To home them to the new coop without having to chase them around (assuming there's ample space inside), lock them into the coop with food and water for a couple of days.
