New to Chickens

[QuartsRidgeFarm]

After a long time planning/ hoping for chickens we finally bought a box of surprise chicks from Alchemist Farm.

so far I’ve been able to identify
2 black copper Marans and
4 double silver laced barnevelders.
The other 6 I’m unsure of but since they were brown chipmunk looking chicks there are 4 breeds they could be….
Welsbar
German Bielefelder
Or the Alchemist Azure egger or Sage Eggers.

We are already in love with their little personalities and very excited to see how they grow up.

we also have some isbars, silkies, and another box of surprise chicks ordered for March.

Very excited to get a few coops built and some rotational pastures going. Also happy to be here and learn from everyone else’s chicken experience.
