New to Chickens

My babies have had soldier fly larvae all their lives. Not meally worms but the product from Canada . Grit? Tiny chicks, tiny grit (they will know what they need.

I assume you are from California. I would not bother with grit at this point unless you are giving them some seeds and grains. The grit is for grinding their feed since chickens don't have teeth.

@cmom . I’m glad chickens don’t have teeth (if my hen BoPeeps had teeth, I wouldn’t have any fingers left) she’s the only one, who prefers biting me. She says “leave my eggs alone !”

I have had some ugly broody's too. I have some broody's right now but they haven't been aggressive when I take them out of the nest boxes but some can be really ugly.

I’m not going all the way to AZ to get fresh soldier fly larvae! ( Just saying ) besides, it’s too foggy to take the plane up.
