(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chicks about 4 weeks ago, and these are my first chicks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have four and I already wish I got six.
(3) What breeds do you have? Buff Orpington
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? So far- they are just the sweetest and I already love them so much.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I also have a small garden that I’m trying to expand, and I love to read.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’m a school counselor with two pre-teen boys and a schnauzer that does not approve of the chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I joined so I can ask questions as they come up. I’ve read a couple of books on raising backyard chickens, but nothing beats experience.
