Hello all. My family recently moved to a mini farm, 2 acres in the bountiful northwest. The property already has a huge garden in place, and a chicken coop in place. I've never had chickens, but got 8 for $80 off Craigslist. Dont know their exact age, they didnt have their combs yet. I have 5 barred rock hens, 1 RIR, and 2 white chickens with red combs and yellow feet. Not sure what breed those are. Im interested in learning about diamasious eRth (spelled wrong!!) and how to keep them healthy , happy, and good layers (havent started laying yet. Pretty sure all are hens. I have pics but dont know hiw to put them on post. Do chickens need vaccines? What kind of food is best? Thanks! I neex all the advice out there!
