New to chickens

My dad's friend gave me 3 young hens, but i dont know how old they are or what to do with them. When are they going to start laying, what breed are they etc.

The middle bird looks like a Barred Rock and the last bird looks like a Buff Orpington. I am not that good on ID's so not sure about the first bird. Them some young hens but I would say you should
de getting egg's in about 3 months

x3- the 2nd one is a Barred Rock and the 3rd is a Buff Orpington. You might try the "Breeds" tab on BYC to help you find the identity of the 1st.

Welcome,I have Norwegian Jaerhons and your first bird looks similar.

Now that I look the feathers on the neck don't look the same.
