new to chickens

Hi all...I'm glad I've found you all. in March my husband and i got 6 black sex hens pullets...and 2barred rock black sex link roosters 1red rock rooster and 1black sex link rooster..i just got a buff silkie and two wyandotte silver laced i would live to know more about them..

I think it's a good idea to post on the "Silkie Thread," because your other choices are 'chickens '- silkies don't look like a regular chicken so they tend to be the first ones bullied by the others. Also with their big crests and beards it often obscures their vision, so they aren't likely to fight back. Silkie people can tell you how to handle the situation, info pertaining to this breed.

Your birds may all get along fine but, I just mention this as a "heads up," since you only are getting one - she has nobody on her side, for moral support.
