New to chicks

Know what you mean, no handy man here either and no $$$$ to hire one .
Having gutters cleaned out (of impacted Maple tree garbage-not my trees) $ 110. twice a year.:barnie for small bi level house. Next door neighbor had those gutter guards installed so his Maple leaves just slide over to my yard. Also got wider new gutters and directed water flow to my property.

If I had the $$$ I would get them. But his property is uphill, mine is down thanks to all the puddling and streaming water coming my way.

I’ve been reading everything on line, my head is spinning. I’ve raised 5 litters of puppies. That seems so much easier. My mama dog loves those baby chicks. She knows they are down those stairs. I placed an order for a coop, hopefully it will be a happy place for the babies. I just can’t keep looking, so I hit the order button. And signed my paycheck over.

G'Day from down under Jeddice :frowWelcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

We have a new coop, I decided on a snap an lock model. Little pricey. But solid, an locks up good. Then we built a run for them. That was a pure joy. We are not carpenters by any means. Thought I over bought building materials. No. . .more trips to the store. He’s a slap it together, and I’m a more is better person. (Should have seen my car with a canoe on roof. Could have tied 20 on with the amount of rope I used). The Ladies seem to like their new home. My dogs , all 7 of them love going out with them. I’m totally amazed at their interactions.
