New to Composting....

All new to chickens and composting. I clean my ladies coop EVERY morning...I remove the poo from the floor and dump it in a 5 gallon bucket.. I've accumulated a bucket, decided to try composing for next spring. (2019). Sometimes I find tiny white worms in the aluminum pan I collect the droppings in, then take them to the shed. Next morning if there are 3 or 4 worms I let the chickens pick them out. This morning I decided to dump the 5 gallon bucket in a 3x3 empty, dirt filled flower bed. Lots of 1" fat white worms in the wet, bottom of the bucket. My hens are big fat, 9 month old, active, spoiled, egg layin' girls. I don't suspect they have internal worms, but ALL animals have them and chickens with what they dig up to eat, I plan to get them some dia. earth for them as a wormer. Are the worms bad for the compost? Leave them? Heat up the pile of poo and cook them? I need some suggestions. I always loved finding a big worm in my flower garden, but these are not that kind. Any suggestions.. Thanks

I totally missed the mention of diatomaceous earth.
That stuff will NOT do a thing for internal worms your chickens get.
Don't waste your money.

Get a fecal test run by your vet or you can mail some fresh poop to your state lab for testing. State labs listings:
