Good Morning!
I was hoping I could get some direction here. We got duckling around March 10th this year. 2 Pekins (1M-1F), Campbell Khakis (1M-3F), and 2 Mallards (all M). They are pretty free-range in the yard which is large. They have their own pond we made for them and a barn we keep them in at night until their fenced area is ready. Just this past Sat, we found our first egg in the barn...then we started finding..We have yet to have a 3rd egg and from reading the Pekin isn't due to lay for another couple weeks. We have searched the yard, wood piles, tall grass, EVERYWHERE...every night after work for the past 3-4 days. My question is, Is it possible one of the female Khaki is not laying yet? I get mixed info online so I'm not sure if I should worry or not. When should I expect the Pekin to start?

Any guidance will be very much appreciated! I absolutely ADORE having my ducks and can't wait to add more!

Thanks!
Megan

Sometimes if one begins to lay and you have have made a particular area for them to lay,a nice cozy soft area in their barn take some of the eggs and put them there . My ducks will lay where another has laid my Runners and Buffs share the same nest. Which is just a make shift hollowed out place in their shavings inside their house.

We put a ceramic egg in the barn in one of the corners. They tend to lay wherever it is. Should I put a 2nd ceramic egg somewhere else?
