I started with pekins and rouens. I like the pekins because they're fairly quite but my rouens are friendlier. I don't have experience with any others yet because I just got my runners and calls today.

Call ducks are loud though from what I've read, although they're supposed to be friendly. They were originally bred to be used as live decoys for hunters.
