New to ducks need help!

We were just given 3 ducks from a friend. We have chickens, but have had them from chicks. These are not ducklings. We have a pond and I'm wondering where to put their house, as well as curious if they will go anywhere if we let them free range during the day. How do you decide when to trust them? Is there anything we should know about when looking for or building a coop? Thanks!

Adults might try to run off On you. They will need some time to adjust to the new place.

I agree with HollyDuckFarmer, they need some time to adjust to their new place. keep them closed up for at least a week maybe 2. here is a link to some BYCers duck houses.
