Ok, so it looks like we are getting a few hatching when I take them out and put them in the brooder, do I also take out the shells? Do I just discard the shells?

yes, I take out the shells. They're gross! plus it gives the others more room to hatch.

We now have a total of 14 hatched and two in waiting. Seven are in the brooder box and seven are still trying to fluff out.

Last one just hatched with some assistance from me, she was coming out sideways and was not able to use her egg tooth. We now have a total of 16 new babies. Pictures to follow.
