Hi Shammy - I am right across the bridge from you in Brunswick Md. (But my ladies live in Adamstown, Md).

I can't answer your question but I wanted to let you know the University of Maryland Ag Extension has event next saturday (feb 2) about 1.5 hours away in Caroll County, MD. It's called the mid-atlantic chicken expo. All of the programming is done by the U of Md staff and they have poultry health experts there that do session and can answer any of your questions.

I went last year for the first time and it was a great experience. There is a small fee but I found it well worth the drive and cost. Plus there is tons of pies form 4-h'ers, vendors and loads of giveaways.
