I've had excellent results in sub-zero (Fahrenheit) temps and unheated coops with my Buff Brahma, Easter Egger, and Dominiquer breeds. My Black Austrolorps and Rhode Island Reds have had some frostbite on their combs, but all recovered well. I also have Dark Cornish for meat birds and they have done well, but they lay small eggs, and not very many of them, just 1-2/week.
