Hi, my name is Cindy. I live in central Kansas. I have 3 Rhode Island Reds that are around 2 years old-Bossy, Fancy and Gimpy (long story for the name Gimpy, but it involves my dog Ginger). I got my 3 ladies from my best friend who was moving. I now also have 15 8 week old pullets that I got mail order this spring-4 Rhode Islands, 5 Barred Rocks and 6 Black Austrolarps. I want to move them in with the older girls as soon as I can, but don't know when/how to do that, everything I have read in the books hasn't been very informative, maybe I'm not reading the right books-lol! I found this website on Google, so I hope to be able to meet some new friends here, and get excellent info on my girls and how to take the best care of them possible. I also have my dog Ginger who is an 8 year old mixed breed, I am currently babysitting my youngest daughters 1 year old Great Dane/Australian Shepherd cross Libby (who is driving me crazy with her hole digging in my yard!
) I am divorced and have 2 daughters who are living their own lives, my oldest graduates this May with her Masters degree in proffessional text writing and editing and my youngest is a biology major with one more year to go (hopefully)!
My hobbies include yardwork and currently looking for a job (I have been unemployed for almost a year now!) Thanks for letting me in on this great site and for all the upcoming great information! Nice to meet you all!
