Hello, I just want to introduce myself. I'm Becca from central GA and I used to have chickens and hope to again SOON. Right now I have French Angora Rabbits and space for chickens but need to make a predator proof enclosure first as well as get rid of 1300 ceramic molds from a defunked business I had planned to start. I'm moving some of them, one by one. I also own two German Shepherd dogs that I trained in obedience myself. I harvest the wool from my rabbits and have learned to spin and am relearning how to knit.
Though I'm not a youngster, I'm trying to keep active. I lost my darling husband 2 years ago and now I'm dong everything alone so I've GOT to keep active. Hopefully I can find an efficient way to build my own chicken pen so that I don't waste my limited money on chickens to have them consumed by the hawks, owls, coyotes or the neighbor's JRT. GRRRR So far the rabbits have been safe but they are not free range. Easier to maintain though not foolproof.
