I have been considering getting a few chicks to 1) teach my kids about how important it is to respect where we get our food. 2) off set the cost of our grocery bill. and 3) I have always wanted to have more fresh food. I am sure that I am perhaps not the type of person who would raise chickens, but the thought that I could learn on how to be more green really excites me.
However, I was disappointed when I heard that I can't have chickens where I live. My family and I reside in killeen tx and due to the fact I pay for city water, I am not allowed to have them. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to possibly get permission to have 2-3 chickens?
Any info would be great.
Thank
Keri
