Hi there! My name is Miranda and my brother turned me on to chickens.
He's been obsessed with them since he was six. He's twelve now and had me looking up chicken breeds for him... and I've decided since I moved from suburban New Jersey to rural Kentucky, that perhaps chickens would be a good investment for my boyfriend and me. My brother introduced the idea, but tasting my first country egg sold me on it.
I don't own any chickens yet, but I plan to purchase some chicks at the end of the summer or next spring. Right now I am researching coop building and general chicken care so that I can be an expert, and care for my chickens as well as I can.
