Well, not exactly new but it's been many years since I've been around one (when I was a kid).
We are just starting out with goats. Someday I would love to have a couple of dairy goats for milking but our immediate goal is brush clearing. We have one little nanny goat 3-4 months old. She is a Nubian mix.
So if you have goats clearing land what else do they need to have for feed? Our woods consist mostly of blackberries and poison ivy.
Do they still need to be fed hay?? What else?

They would still need feed hay eventually, as over time, they would eat their natural supplies. I would give them sweet feed, it helps with their nutrition.

I would offer hay, a salt block, and some loose minerals. I think a kid that young should have a little grain, too. Maybe about a half a pound to a pound a day or so, maybe less, depending on her body condition. If she is not used to grain, start slow.
