I've been watching these posts for several years and have just joined. Great information you all share. I have a mixed breed flock of chickens and have become interested in upgrading the quality of my birds from hatchery to dedicated breeder. Some breeds I am interested in are Black Copper Marans, and other Marans, Svart Hona, Swedish Flower, Cream Legbar and Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Starting to buy hatching eggs. Also have lavender guineas, one beautiful Bourbon Red Tom turkey raised from a poult, 3 new peafowl 2018 hatch, 2 males, 1 female, separate from the other birds. I raise Nubian dairy goats for show and milk for the past 18 years. Looking forward to all the collective experience here I can tap into! Thanks!
