I tape after they are dry but I have missed and taped a day or 2 later and all was fine. Good luck!

Her toes are already uncurled and she is walking around already. Wobbly but walking. And chirping very loudly. I think she is lonely. Any ideas?

Clean stuffies (something you can wash or throw in the dryer first) or a heavy wool sock, a brand new feather duster and a mirror. Any in that group are safe til you can get him a buddy.

I put a small stuffed kitty in there (I know, a cat in with the chick not too good, but figured if she was going to live at this house might as well get used to it as I have 3 cats) and she is climbing on it but still chirping. Dang it all, if the other 2 eggs don't hatch soon it is going to kill me with the suspense.

You have to look at it as an opportunity. If they don't hatch you'll have to find your local TSC and buy him a friend or five... (enable enable whisper and tempt.)
