No smell. Guess I'll just be patient for day 10It looks like a blood ring.
I’m so sorry.
If it doesn’t have an odor, you can leave it in a re-candle on day 10. Just to be sure.
I wasn't suspecting to see much at 3 days but I agree that looks like the blood ring of death. It looks like a blood ring.

Yeah thats what I was afraid of when I saw itI wasn't suspecting to see much at 3 days but I agree that looks like the blood ring of death.
Wouldn't hurt to check again in a few days but I'd say it's a goner. Sorry
Yes looks like a blood ring. Shipped eggs add a whole new level of difficulty, they've been through a hard journey and tend to have more early and/or late quitters than local eggs. For shipped eggs, you should consider any hatch rate above 50% to be a strong success. I'm happy to get a 30% hatch with shipped eggs. Some people get 100% hatches anyways, but that's more about luck, distance, and how individual post offices are handling them than anything else. Eggs are fragile things, and no matter how well the seller packs, there's bound to be some damage even if it's nothing immediately visible.I am on day 3 of incubation for shipped eggs and saw one egg that looked like this... what does it mean?? Did my egg quit?View attachment 4147626
Appreciate the info! I have 12 silkie chicken eggs in the incubator right now. I really hope I get a decent amount of hatches out of that at the very least. They came from Florida all the way to Hawaii so it must have been a rough ride over here.Yes looks like a blood ring. I have my fingers crossed for you! I hope you get a good hatch. At least in your area it's probably not too hard to maintain humidity, I live in Arizona and that's always a struggle for me since most days we have literally 0% air humidity. Would love to see an update on how this hatch goes for you!Appreciate the info! I have 12 silkie chicken eggs in the incubator right now.
