New to hatching candling help? Did my egg quit?

It does look like a blood ring. But as long as it isn't oozing or smelly I'd put it back in and candle again on day 7 or 10. I had one egg my last hatch that I thought had a blood ring but when I candled again on day 10 it was developing and did end up hatch a healthy chick.

As bad as I want to candle eggs, I don’t candle until day 18, lockdown day, that’s just the way I prefer to do it, so far I haven’t had any go rotten.
I ordered quail eggs from Myshire farms, I’ll be satisfied with a 50% hatch rate, some people have really good luck with shipped eggs and some don’t, I’m sure it’s how they are handled during shipping?

That gives me a bit of hope! I'll be patient just in case

I wish I had that kind of patience haha. Quails are cool! I almost considered getting some myself.

Yeah, the person that handed the box over to us gave it to us sideways and I wanted to smack them haha
