New to hatching eggs, how stable does humidity have to stay?

Just started my eggs on Friday. Humidity has bounced from 42 to 58% and back down over the weekend. Learning my incubator I bought is very touchy on water. One tablespoon extra water and it jumps up. Just curious hopefully that I didn't kill the egg with high humidity. Thanks.

Humidity is more important as an average over incubation, so a spike or a low for a short time won't hurt the eggs
