New to hatching eggs

Thank you for responding. I do have another, probably dumb, question. When they do start hatching, how long do you wait before taking them out of the incubator? I’ve heard horror stories about opening it too soon, and shrink wrapping unhatched babies in their eggs because of loss of humidity.

Shrink wrapping happens from not keeping the humidity constant throughout incubation, not from opening the incubator.
You can take the chicks out when they are dry, I do it twice a day. Hatching will probably take 2-3 days.
