Hi, I live in Reseda, CA and have a indoor/outdoor silkie chicken. Her name is Pepper and she is such a trooper. She is 7months old, but she had wry neck a little over a month ago now. She still doesn't hold up her neck like she did day one but I still give her vitamins that the vet gave me doses for, and she "hunts" for her warms which have helped her. The only thing that still worries me is she is still walking back a lot and does front flips way more than I would like. She gets out of the front flips fast but the vet said she might be molting and thats why she keeps messing with her chest a lot, but I don't know how to help her anymore. And the vet didn't know what to do with a chicken. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!!

You can also post on the "silkie thread," they may have suggestions for you. Almost every time someone mentions those symptoms - the bird is a SILKIE. They can have a few bouts of this until they finally recover for good (?). Wry neck doesn't kill them, it's owners that decide to cull them.
