New to having backyard chickens

Hi, my name is Danielle. This is my first little flock of chickens, which we picked up yesterday. We got 6 chickens, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 each of Brahma, Blue Plymouth Rock, Golden Laced Wyandotte, and Easter Egger. I don't currently have a favorite aspect of raising backyard chickens, but I already got my first egg this morning which was exciting! I don't really have any other hobbies since I am a full time student. I have one semester left and then hopefully will have a job with the institute I am interning with currently which does a lot to help improve mental health policy. I have 3 cats and a boyfriend, and he is who told me about BYC. I joined because I like having a central community to help out.
