New to homesteading

Hi all thanks for adding me! This is our first year having chickens! Its been very exciting. We currently have 27 chickens. The breeds are Silkie hens, Silkie roos, Americanas, Golden Comets, Cinnamon Queens, Frizzle Silkies, and a Polish. Some are bantams and some are regular size. We just started getting eggs a few weeks ago.

Welcome! How's the homesteading going? We are slowly working toward that goal. Chickens were part of that this year.

Congratulations on the first eggs! Aren't they magical? I'm still amazed that the girls can turn bugs and grass and kitchen scraps and those brown pellets in to ... eggs!
