NEW TO INCUBATING AND HATCHING!!!!HELP!!!

ok, so by now you pobally know how i cant get a silkie, but now my mom has agreed to get silkie eggs to hatch ourselves!!!so i need to know this now!!!my mom already ordered eggs from eBay but needs to know wat type or kind of incubator to buy!!!i need to know this ASAP and i will spend 50$ max....ok so plz help immediatly!!!anythings good just post if u look please!

I recently purchased a Hova-bator that had a fan in it. I have hatched out 2 batches of chicks with a 50% hatch rate. The eggs were also shipped during 20 degree weather. I did pay $130 for it though. Good luck!

you are not likely going to get an incubator for $50 quickly, unless you make one yourself. There are numerous links on here about building your own. Other than that, any styrofoam incubator will do in a pinch. You need to get it and get the temps regulated BEFORE you set your eggs though.

Try your local feedstores...or Tractor Supply Company....they sell Little Giant Still Air Incubators for under 50.00 without a turner......

Got to have the incubator first and then eggs!!...

Local feed/farimg supply store should have a styrophone incubator for about $50,or less(not much). It'll hold about 4-5 dozen large chicken eggs.
Follow instuctions for still air incubation. You would also have to hand-turn the eggs yourself. But that's not that hard to do.
Mark (use pencil only- ink or marker may seep though egg shell) an arrow on on side of an egg, roll egg in direction of arrow untill mark is on bottom, mark another arrow going in opposite direction. Make a half turn, go back the way you came. Never go all the way around, nor flip eggs end over end.
Turn eggs at least 2 times a day(every twelve hours), but it's better to turn then 3 or 5 times in 24hour period. The odd number of turns keep eggs from always setting on same side during the night . K Keep track of when, and how you turned(last) the eggs.
Tilt large end of egg up alittle, or (rather little end down) after 10th day. It is truly heart breaking to see a beautiful baby chick that died just because it's not able to get out of it's shell.
I use shelve lining ,the grippy- foamy kind, in the incubator to keep eggs in position I put them. Also,
Hand turning is ALOT easier when you set up the eggs in trimmed down box walls, no bottom, no top, just the walls to keep eggs from going where ever they want. Make sure that none of these 'walls' are taller then the eggs. Actually, it would probably be better it the walls were a little shorter than the eggs are wide.

If you don't get and egg turner you need to turn at least three times a day.
