New to incubating ,need help please,

SO far so good .. We candled some eggs last night and they look to have something in them. We are hoping for the best , we have 40 eggs or so in there , all Red Stars and 3 Top Hats .. I can't wait to see the baby top hats , I think they are so cute as big ones and have to be just as cute as babies. I will keep posted . The babies we do have now are getting sooo big . I am amazed at how fast they do grow , before long they will be giving us eggs..

I am worried , it is day 21 and no action at all.. We candled the eggs a week ago and there was something in there for sure , just not sure what it was . I am starting to worry. I know it can go over a day or so , but we have more that should start hatching tomorrow as well , so now I am wondering if we did everything right.. How many days after the 21 should we wait to be sure ?/ Thanks

If your temps were a little cool they could go an extra couple days.

Ok , guess noting is going to happen , this is day 23 on one bunch, 22 on another and 21 on another . I have one that is to hatch on the 15th that looks as if it is actually moving around in there , I swear there is someting in it , and it looks nothing like these others did when I candled them last . It frazzles my DH because he cant get it in his head that some are fertile and some are not , I told him that just becase they did not yeild a baby , does not mean the egg was not fertile in the begining. We are getting ready to move to a farm house soon where we will have more room , so since the move would be in mid move, we are holding off to put more in..

If the egg is almost all black , and moving , is that the baby? I tried to take pic's to post for help but they are way too bright when trying to candle and with the flash ,so I can only describe them to u. I have seen pics on here that helped a lot , and I think some of mine have blood rings in them , I know one was cracked a bit so I went ahead and cracked it open and the poor thing did not develop much past the eyes and tadpole look to it . What do u all think that I am doing wrong?>
