New to incubating please help

Hello. I was just wondering if baby chicks need light as well as heat for the fishtail few days, I have bought an electric hen thing, like a plate that the chicks go under for warmth but do they need liht as well, they are in a shed will natural light. X

Thanks. My next question also sounds stupid, but I have candled my eggs that are due to hatch on Sunday and don't seem very full, do you think they will be ok?

yes they'll be fine they still have developing to do before sunday

I agree they will be fine. It is amazing how much development happens in a relatively short amount of time. Think about how quickly they grow and change after hatch!

Thanks. That has put my mind at rest a little. I do hope they will be ok. My other half will only say "I told you so" if nothing hatches. I will keep you informed of progress on Sunday/ Monday.
