In the Brooder
We had 8 hens, 2 roosters (Speckled Sussex, Rhode island reds, black Marans); went on vacation and brought home six more bittys (Silkies, Fleur D'uccles, and Wyandottes). My daughter wanted an incubator for her bday (she is 23 and smart) and we agreed... Well, they started hatching today and I am at work - I need help.
Please see the attached image... She has dried, she is chirping, she is active. I had her separate this one from the others in an effort to not hurt this one or step on (what I think is a hernia) the problem. I have been researching forums and this one is not nearly as bad as some of the others I have seen; but do you all think I have a problem? We have lost one today, already and Grace cried (she is an animal lover).
