New to incubating, temperature help needed ASAP.

If you're running your AC a good bit to keep it below 70° for your son that draws the humidity out of your home making it more difficult to get the humidity in the incubator up during lockdown, you might want to have a few porous sponges on hand to place in there come day 18 to help with boosting it up if necessary.

Could that be why my humidity guage keeps reading EE? The booklet that came with it doesn't say what causes that or how to fix it. Before it started reading that the humidity was staedy at 46-48 at any given time.

Try adding water and see if the RH reading changes.

i don't know the particular model incubator you have so i don't know what EE means for it, it could be that EE is an error of low humidity and if that's the case then yes. as suggested, raise the humidity (add a small amount of warm water and it will quickly rise) and see if your EE changes back to a percentage.

I don't have any personal experience with that particular incubator but................I called the number listed for the MFG and the lady was very courteous and although she couldn't find the EE error code she said she'd research it and give me a call back with the answer.

It's currently reading 48% I can't get it to go higher. Ugh.... Even sponges aren't working.

wet the sponge with warm water, you should notice a build up of condensation, if not then you're loosing your humidity though vent holes and may need to limit the intake of fresh air (but not completely)
