Hi everybody my name is Chantel and I am a stay at home mom to one child. I have a rooster and a hen that act like teenagers together, and three month old chicks, a Gander, a gosling, and two ducklings, also an incubator full of fertilized eggs. I am new to this so I may have tonnes of questions

Welcome to BYC!!

Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Best of luck to you, your family, your chickens, ducks and eggs! How egg-citing that you get to incubate them! LOL!

Be sure to check out our learning center; LOTS of great articles there!

Chantal, I haven't seen that name in a long time. My high school friend was Chantal Burke, half French and half Irish. I remember she told me her uncle Jimmy O'Toole a baseball player - however I wasn't a sports fan so didn't know who he was.

Okay now that I've had my pleasant memories - what can we do for you today?

Alright

Everybody, I have 19 eggs in a stryo incubator, all put in on different days, I have one egg on day 22, and the other one on day 19. I just learned apparently you can store fertile eggs in a cool place for two weeks, is that true? How can I keep the incubator at all the right humidity and temp for the range of age of the eggs? What special feed should I feed my adult goose? and how long until I should chuck the eggs that didnt hatch (the day 22 egg) ?
