Have your parents tried the duck eggs yet? Just wondering what they think of them.

Dougie laid a larger egg today, Just a tiny bit larger than a chicken egg, I figured she was getting them a little bigger now- It was a double yolker!

I haven’t got a double yolk one yet
Daisy is on the small side for Pekin
Although she is heavy to pick up compared to her daughters she still isn’t a large bird
The biggest egg she has given me so far 78 grams. Usually 70-75 grams abd she is a year old so I would think this is her egg sizes now

not yet They'll probably get one of the next ones! I'll let you know what they think! They've actually never had anything other than store bought chicken eggs, so it'll be interesting I think

I wouldn't consider Dougie an especially large bird, either. And Sprightly is certainly larger and heavier than her. I was a little surprised to get two yolks!

Once you eat fresh duck eggs, there is no going back to chicken. My 2.5 year old granddaughter was raised on duck eggs. She will not eat chicken eggs.

I got another double yolk today! Poor Dougie laying such big eggs!
I split it, and gave my mum one yolk with a little of the egg whites, and gave Dougie the other slightly larger half
She found it really nice! She said it's a nicer taste and more creamy than chicken eggs.
Dougie loved it too, and basically inhales her scrambled eggs now
Pretty much every egg after the first has had specks of blood on the yolk, is that normal and will it stop soon?

It should stop. Not that you still won’t see it now and again but shouldn’t be everyday.
