Very excited to be picking this up today. Getting it used for half price. 2-3 chickens that free range during the day. They will stay in it full time when we go on vacation a couple of times a year with a pet sitter caring for them daily.
We live in rural Morgan Hill, CA on a ranch.

My question is what do I need to do to this used coop to get it ready for the full grown chickens who will be using it?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

I think you're going to learn pretty quickly that that coop is not only too small for your birds but is also going to fall apart relatively quickly. You can give it a try though.
I would remove the top 3" or more or so of siding underneath the run roof then secure it with 1/2" hardware cloth so that you can get a lot more ventilation in that coop. Those prefabs are most notorious for not only being undersized and made a very cheap material but also having extremely inadequate ventilation.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Those are cute coops, but what others are saying, x2.

Since yours free range, they only have to sleep in there so think it'll work, but otherwise, that run is way too small.

One idea to make more room inside is to remove the nests and give them one or two instead of four. For your 2-3 birds, they only need one roost, and the others can be removed.

Just have a plan for what you'll be building in a couple of years, as this one won't last. We have a Coop forum with tons of ideas!

We're glad you're here!
