Hello I am from central NC. I have always been an animal lover and tend to get in deep from time to time. Currently I have 13 horses, 6 cats, 1 dog, and a constantly changing number of ducks and chickens. The ducks I have currently are Lavender Muscovy (my uncle brought them home and started this whole new adventure), Mallards (same uncle wanted some Mallards for a project he's working on), 1 Pekin and 2 Cayunga. My chickens are mostly mixed with quite a few EEbecause I was looking in the wrong paces for Ameraucauna. I do have a few Ameraucauna now (3 different colors), and a few other breeds including Cream Legbar, White Leghorn, Rhode Island Red, Black Jersey Giants, and Barred Rock.
I'm here to learn especially about these breeds of chickens so that I can breed birds that not only appeal to me but are up to the breed standards so that sometime in the future I can sell them knowing I am selling good quality birds.
