Hi all! I'm Andi. Recently relocated to the Hudson River Valley region in New York to a 75 acre property with my hubs and our Boston Terrier. The property also came with two Norwegian Fjord horses, so I've already been introduced to some unexpected caretaking. :D

While we've gotten settled, I've been diligently trying to turn my killer brown thumb into a green one and decided we might as well take advantage of some of this land (and bugs) and try out some chickens.

I have pined over cute silkies for many, many years, so I've done my research there. But I also know we're going to need more eggs than they'll produce so I'm here to learn what breeds might work best with them.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
