New to owning chickens

Hi I'm Nikky, my husband and I just brought 4 new chicks for our 2 boys. The chicks are 3 days old and this is the first time that we have ever had chickens so this is all new to us. Hope we can get lots of great advice on how to keep them happy and healthy

Hello, Nikky, and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Do you have your coop and run built? Chicks grow FAST and you will want them out to their coop no later than 6 weeks old. They need 4 sq ft of space per bird in the coop and 15 sq ft of space per bird total between the run and the coop. Don't use chicken wire as it is not in the least predator proof. Just about anything can tear through it and kill your birds.
