A friend of mine suggested to place the quail eggs in the trays & turn on the egg turner she said it just helps them more viable until I have enough to put in the incuberator. So, I finally opened the box (I got a Genesis 1588 Deluxe for Christmas with quail racks) & took out the trays & arranged them according to instructions. I placed my eggs there last night & this morning found them on the counter dislodged from the trays. My hubby checked the placement of the trays & put in the eggs. Again, the motor lever/swing came off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The incubator was purchased from incubator warehouse. I read the reviews & I thought it'd be a good starter incubator but I was honestly disappointed in how flimsy the materials were--should I just return it & get a Brinsea?
It took a visit to the couple I bought my A&M's from after Christmas to figure out what we did wrong. Good news is, we picked up 25 week-old Texas A&Ms to add to our ever-growing flock.
I will be processing 7 Texas A&M males & a female in a couple of weeks from the first batch of 20 (1 died, 1 female has a really crooked beak so she will be going in the freezer & not bred).
